Share Split

Edda allows you to record a share split to indicate an increase or decrease in the number of shares issued by a company.

Adding a share split helps you record changes in distribution. This is typically done to adjust the company’s share price (for example, in a 2-for-1 or reverse split), or to reflect ownership adjustments following changes in valuation or a recapitalization, or to align share distribution before a new funding round, among other cases.

How to record a Share Split

  1. Go to Portfolio.

  2. Go to the Companies and select the relevant Company Page.

  3. Click 'Record an update' in top-right corner of the page and select 'Record a share split'.
