Share Split

Edda allows you to record a share split in Edda to indicate an increase or decrease in the number of shares issued by a company.

Adding a share split helps you record changes in share distribution. This is typically done to adjust the company’s share price (for example, in a 2-for-1 or reverse split), or to reflect ownership adjustments following changes in valuation or a recapitalization, or to align share distribution before a new funding round, among other cases.

📍 How to record a Share Split

  1. Go to Portfolio.

  2. Go to the Follow-On page.

  3. Select the relevant Company.

  4. Click Share Split.

  5. Fill in the details.

  6. Optionally, you can:

    • Add a comment (to note context or reason for the split)

    • Add a title

    • Edit the cap table directly from this view

  7. Once all information is entered, click Confirm to save the change.
