Metrics & KPIs in Dealflow

How to be data orientated within dealflow. Learn how to utilise metrics in dealflow

Metrics are an important section of a company's profile. Metrics allow your team to track the important Metrics and KPIs of a potential investment.

Accessing Metrics

You can access the metrics page within a potential investment by clicking the metrics tab in a company's profile.

Creating Metrics

As of now, although you can use custom metrics in Dealflow, they will need to be created from within Portfolio Management as explained in this article, which will then make them available on both modules. Please view this in-depth article on custom metrics.

Adding metrics

To add data to a previously created metric, you have to:

  1. Select the metric you wish to use or click the '+' symbol if the metric already exists

  2. Choose the date and add your data

  3. Click save

Once you have inserted data into a metric, Edda will automatically plot and generate a graph from your data. To view the graph of each metric, you will need to click on the metric card for it to expand and display the graph.

Editing and deleting metric data

Once data has been entered into a metric, it can be updated or deleted at any time. To achieve this, you can click on the settings cog which will appear once you have hovered over the card. You can edit the date, values and delete any data within a metric. To confirm your modification, you will need to click save.

Deleting a metric consists of removing all the values currently stored in the metric. Once the metric contains no further values, it will be removed from the company.
