How to create custom metrics.

Metrics provide the ability to track potential investments and where they are performing. This article will show you how to create your own.

 

At Edda, we understand the critical role that metrics play in your decision-making process. That's why we've developed a solution that empowers you to create and track your own metrics, tailored to your unique needs and goals.

In this article, I will take you through the process and options available to create as many metrics as you need.

How to create a new metric

As of now, although you can create custom metrics for your Dealflow, they will need to be created from within Portfolio Management which will then make them available on both modules.

Upon accessing Portfolio Management, you will need to click on a company's profile of your portfolio. Once there, you can navigate over to the metrics tab, and click on the add a new metric button.



Metric Options

When creating a metric, you are provided with multiple options to customize it to your needs. The options provided are:

  • Metric Name - Name your metric

  • Format - Choose either, Percent, Value or Amount

  • Category - Choose a category that the metric relates to

  • Temporality - Choose the temporality of the metric. Choose between Yearly, Quarterly, Monthly, Weekly or One-off.



Once a metric has been created, it will become available from within your company's metrics in both Dealflow and Portfolio Management. You can create as many metrics as required for your fund to efficiently track potential or current investments.
